That’s our motto and Gathering Grains Farm is here to provide you the opportunity to eat REAL bread, even when you don’t have the time to make it yourself. We handmake our breads and others goodies from scratch in small batches, using the highest quality ingredients possible. As a micro-bakery, our production ability is limited, so we bake most of our goods by special order. We sell our breads directly to the customers on “Fresh Bread Fridays”, and are also available for catering orders on other days.

Our Sourdough breads are made in small batches in our cottage bakehouse. We use "Gerard", our sourdough starter, as the leavening for many of our breads, mixing them by hand, allowing them to ferment for a lengthy period of time to develop the amazing flavor and to ease digestibility. We then bake our bread to achieve the perfect artisan crust and crumb. Many people that suffer from gluten intolerance are able to enjoy our sourdough breads!

Rustic Sourdough
Our Rustic Sourdough is made from just three ingredients: wheat flour, water, and sea salt. This signature bread boasts of a chewy crumb and a wonderfully crisp crust.Great for eating with just butter and jam, sandwiches, or making into French toast.

Jalapeno Cheddar Sourdough
This bread is made with fresh jalapenos and sharp cheddar cheese. Enjoy it with a bowl of soup, as a base for a spicy grilled cheese sandwich, or on its own for a tasty snack!

Country Walnut Sourdough
You are in for a new bread experience with our Country Walnut Sourdough. Best lightly toasted, and then buttered with a bit of blackberry jam. Take your avocado toast to a whole new level, or make incredible sandwiches (ham and Swiss will never taste better). Thickly slice it and make it into French toast -YUM! Don't be bothered by the slight purple color--the iron in the flour reacts with the acid in the walnut skins, making a crumb with a rustic purple cast.

Whole Wheat Sourdough
Our Whole Wheat Sourdough is made with mostly stone-ground whole wheat flour (75%). This is a delicious high-fiber bread that delivers the nutrients present in the whole grain. The nutty, earthy flavor of this bread lends itself well to a slather of butter, some apricot jam, or a nice soft cheese.

Field Loaf
Our Field Loaf features a combination of flours which results in bread that has a great earthy flavor profile. This sourdough features Butler’s Gold Hard Red stone-ground flour along with a bit of fresh-milled Rye and some regular bread flour to create bread with good flavor and chewy texture. This is one of our favorite breads-it goes with everything.

Honey Wheat Loaf
Our Honey Wheat Loaf is a sandwich (or snacking) bread made from stone- ground Big Country Hard White Wheat and Butler's Gold Hard Red Wheat. We add honey for a pleasant sweetness and flax seeds to boost those vital Omega-3 fatty acids. This bread is nutrient dense and fiber rich, and is sure to be one of your favorite daily breads. (This is not a sourdough bread).

Olive & Herb Sourdough
An excellent Mediterranean bread, Olive & Herb Sourdough is great for eating with meals, and makes terrific sandwiches as well. This bread has a healthy amount of Kalamata olives and is infused with a blend of herbs including thyme, oregano, and rosemary.
